PRIVACY POLICY

1. Who we are

MMA Maverick Sports Cards LLC, an Ohio limited liability company doing business as Maverick Sports Cards (“Maverick Sports Cards,” “we,” “us”), sells sports and trading cards online: live box breaks, Goose Goose pools, singles on eBay, and consignment. This policy explains what personal information we collect through mavericksportscards.com, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Questions or requests: support@mavericksportscards.com

2. What we collect

When you ask about consigning cards (our consignment form): your name, email, phone number, mailing address, how you'd like to be paid (PayPal, Venmo or Cash App) and your payment handle, roughly how many cards you have, and your agreement to our consignment terms. With that agreement we record the date and time, your IP address, and your browser type, so we can show what you agreed to.

When you create a buyer account (to buy break spots): a display name you choose, your email, a password, and your shipping address. Your password is stored by our login provider in protected form; we never see it.

When you buy: which spots and orders are yours, what you paid, and shipping and tracking details. Your card number and billing details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and go to Stripe, not to us.

When you consign with us: your name, contact details, mailing address, payout method and handle, the cards you consign (including photos we take), what they sold for, and the payouts we send you.

When you sign in: if a sign-in attempt fails, we record the email used, the time, and the IP address, to protect accounts from password guessing. Repeated sign-up or password-reset requests from one IP address are also recorded, to stop abuse.

When you buy from us on eBay, Whatnot or CollX: those platforms handle your order. When we bring our sales records into our own system, we keep order numbers, amounts and tracking, and we drop buyer names and addresses.

We do not ask for your date of birth, and we do not collect government ID numbers.

3. Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers: no Google Analytics, no Meta (Facebook) pixel, no session recording, no ad networks. Visitors who are not signed in get no cookies from us.

If you sign in, we use cookies that keep you signed in and sign you out after 30 minutes of inactivity. They are needed for the site to work and are not used to track you.

Because we don't track you across websites, browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals don't change anything here — there is no tracking to turn off.

Some break pages may show a live video from YouTube. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube does not set cookies until you press play. Once you play it, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

4. How we use your information

  • To review consignment requests and contact you about them.
  • To sell, ship and track your consigned cards, and to calculate and send your payouts.
  • To sell you break spots, take payment through Stripe, and ship what you win.
  • To show your chosen display name next to spots you buy. Others on the break page can see it. Choose a name that isn't your real name if you prefer.
  • To keep a record of agreements you accept.
  • To secure the site and accounts and prevent abuse.
  • To keep the business and tax records we're required to keep.

We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We don't send marketing emails or texts.

5. Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run the site and our business, each limited to what that job needs:

  • Supabase stores our database, files and accounts, and sends sign-in and invitation emails.
  • Vercel hosts the website. Like any web host, it processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver pages.
  • Stripe processes payments. It receives your email and payment details.
  • Anthropic provides an AI tool we use to read card photos, our supplier receipts, and sales screenshots. A sales screenshot can show a buyer's name.
  • Payment apps (PayPal, Venmo, Cash App) receive what's needed to send consignment payouts.
  • Selling platforms (eBay, Whatnot) where we list cards. Card photos may appear in those public listings.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of selling the business.

6. How long we keep it

  • Sales, purchase, consignment and payout records: for as long as we operate the business. They are our business history and tax records.
  • Buyer accounts: while the account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your sign-in and shipping address; records of your purchases stay as business records.
  • Consignment requests that don't go ahead: 2 years, in case you come back to us.
  • Failed sign-in and abuse-prevention records: 90 days.
  • Records of agreements you accepted: for as long as you consign with us, and afterwards for as long as we keep the sales and payout records they relate to. If a consignment request doesn't go ahead, its agreement record is deleted with it after 2 years.

7. Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by writing to support@mavericksportscards.com. We'll answer within 30 days. We keep our business records of sales, consignments and payouts, and records the law requires, such as tax and payment records; we'll tell you if we do.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's law. Contact us and we'll work with you.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections, password-protected staff accounts, access rules that keep each customer and consignor to their own information, and limits on repeated sign-in attempts. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll notify you as the law requires.

9. Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. You must be 18 or older to create a buyer account or buy break spots. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
